The statement came from Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Anatolia news agency reported.
The Minister noted that the purchase of S-400 air defense systems is not an option, but an urgent requirement of Turkey’s national security.
Akar recalled that Turkey had applied to NATO countries for the supply of air defense systems, but was refused.
«Ankara is in favor of resolving all differences with Washington through dialogue,» he said.
