The United States will provide Afghanistan with Afghan Air Force helicopters
White House spokesman Jen Psaki confirmed to The Washington Post that Mi-17 helicopters would be delivered to Ukraine, the report said.
Earlier, it was reported that the United States would send five Mi-17V5 and one Mi-8MTV helicopter to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of military assistance.
The first batch of helicopters is expected to arrive in Ukraine this spring.
In total, more than 60 military planes have been withdrawn from Afghanistan.
