History of Seyfali Seyfali is a village in the Seyfali administrative-territorial unit of the Shamkir district. It is located on the banks of the Shamkhor River, at the foot of the Lesser Caucasus. Some literature shows that there is Ashagi Seyfali settlement in Shamakhi region. It was registered in 1917 in the Seyfali version. It is an ethnotoponym. Seyfali gorge (Dashkasan), Seyfalas / Seyfalisu (Gabala) oronym and hydronym are also connected with Seyfali ethnonym. Documents of the XIX century provide information about the people of Seyfali (Seyfalli) engaged in cattle breeding in Ganja district. They lived mainly on the banks of the Kotanchi canal, drawn from the Shamkir River. Oykonim means «Seyfali village below»
Economy: The main economy is livestock and agriculture.
