The UN partner, the Committee to Protect Human Rights, has officially announced the opening of the IHRC (Human Rights Committee) in the Republic of Iraq. According to the decision of the CIPDH Board, IHRDC-CIPDH Secretary General Matias Merowing appointed Uuda Group President Oudah Vejih as Director of the CIPDH Iraq Committee in the Republic of Iraq and on April 7, 2022, official documents were submitted to him.
The activities of the CIPDH in Iraq will focus on the protection of the rights of Iraqi citizens abroad and support for cooperation between human rights organizations in Iraq and the European Union. The official opening is scheduled for June 2022.
